My Unduk Ngadau 2013 prediction.

In random order, here are MY top 10 :P

Ledesma from Klang Valley represented Tuaran in 2010 and placed 5th (I think). This is her second attempt at the coveted title.

My prediction is of course are based solely on looks (on photos) but we all know their placings will depend on how they carry themselves, their costume, makeup and hair and also Q&A.

What's your prediction?

Thermometer

Ian is exactly 8 months and 8 days today.
He  weighs 9kgs+ and he's 71cm tall. His two lower teeth came out a few weeks back when we were in Ho Chi Minh and as expected, it came with his 1st fever and then followed by flu.  We were alone in Ho Chi Minh at that time cause hubs had to go to Singapore for a few days. Being the kancheong and paranoia kinda Mom that I am, I was sort of prepared for it. I brought fever patch, his fever reducer meds, thermometer and whatnot.
I literally packed a mini first aid kit into our luggage I kid you not.

Ian was actually okay during that 3 days of fever. He was still his bubbly self and his appetite was normal. But I on the other hand was about to get a panic attack.
Why wouldn't I?
We were alone in some foreign city, not knowing which clinic to go to, and trying to get information from the receptionist was impossible cause she can barely speak English.
I decided to wait for hubs to come back cause Ian's fever was still not that high and he was still active and feeding well. I was constantly checking his temperature using my cheap crappy thermometer and sponging him when his body is too warm.
My advice to mommy to be out there; make sure you DON'T get this type of thermometer. It's not baby friendly.

This type is way better.

It's expensive but trust me you won't regret it. I got mine in Ho Chi Minh and boy I was lucky cause its so much cheaper there than it is in Malaysia.

He's crying cause he really hate the cap haha.
Can you spot his tiny teeth?

Ian's Mom

Yes, I'm a Mom now and it's the most amazing experience! A whole new level of overwhelming awesomeness.
I'd have to say the past 4 months have been quite tiring and stressful at times but all that feeling just magically disappear every time I see my baby's smile in the morning, or when he laughs or when I see his funny face when he's trying to poo or when he does his baby talk as if he's trying to tell me something. Everything and anything just becomes worth while :)

But honestly.......I'd be lying if I say I love every little bit of motherhood. There are times when I feel like it's all too much and I need a break. The need to have that extra hour of sleep, that extra time to enjoy some ME time.
I guess that's normal and it means I'm not perfect. After all, when a life is handed to you for you to love, care, shape and nurture......it ain't easy!

A couple of weeks after delivering Ian, I decided, I should start a Mummy blog.
Why?
Cause I felt that there were some stuff that I wish I didn't do, things I wish I didn't buy, knowledge that I wish somebody had shared with me.
My Mom, Mom in law and my girlfriends shared their experiences with me and told me everything they know, but as I found out later, every baby is different and unique in their own way so what worked for them might not work for me.
But then again, it is always good to know and prepare yourself for all possibilities.

My experience has been an awesome one so far so I would looooooove to share it with hopes that it might help others.
(If I have to time to blog that is. Barely have time to sleep :p)

Love
Ian's Mom.

It's NOT transparent!

Transparent bra straps are FUGLY!

There you go, I've said it again for the gazillionth times. I mean, the name itself is already darn stupid. They call it transparent when it's NOT!

So girls out there who sinfully own that darn thing, let me ask you a question. Have you ever seen A-list celebrities wearing it? No right? Cause there's this thing called strapless bra or you might even wanna try Pasties or don't wear a bra at all! Anything is better than wearing that clear bra straps.

Look at these pics and judge for yourself.
As for me.....One word......TACKY!

Dear haters, spread the love, not the legs :)

Just got back from the cinema.
YES I went to watch Breaking Dawn Part 1.
NO it doesn't make me any less 'clever' than 'some' people.

Okay, here's what I'm trying to say, or rather comprehend.
I don't get how some people can be so judgmental abut the 'likes' and 'dislikes' of other people.
Example;
Some people just so happen to like or loooove Justin Bieber. So what? Why do we have to make fun of them just cause they're Bieber Beliebers? He's cute what. And his songs are quite catchy :p Or do you hate him cause he's making millions and you're not?
Some people like to watch Malay movies. So what? Do they ask you to pay for their movie tickets? At least they're supporting local film industry.
Some like to dress sexily while others like to cover all and wear tudung. Who are we to judge right?

We all have our own opinion about everything in life. We don't have to agree or like other people's take on something but we should most definitely learn how to respect it.

Some people may think that they're better and have exquisite taste than others just because they listen to certain type of music like classical or rock or alternative compared to those who like pop, hiphop, dance or even dangdut.
Some even think just because they only watch Academy Award winning film makes them more intelligent than those who watch cheesy and cliche-y movies like Twilight Saga or Glee.
I mean, seriously? seriously?

What other people say about you doesn't define the kind of person you are, cause the things they say might be untrue.
What defines you is the things you say about other people. If you're always so negative and judgemental and always talking bad about others, then people will see your true colors, clearly.

Positivity is the way!

Peace!

A letter to husband

My dearest  husband,

I'm sorry that I'm always so fickle and can't make up my mind.

I'm sorry for the times when I was too lazy to cook for you. The times when I refused you of your favorite mee tuaran and beef stew.

I'm sorry for the times when my hormonal surges drives me nuts and that you had to deal with my PMS tantrums, mood swings and crazy cravings.

I'm sorry for the times when you had to watch E when all you want is to watch ESPN and Starsport.

I'm sorry for the time when I dragged you to the cinema to watch Twilight and other movies you didn't wanna see.

I'm sorry for the times when I don't understand the work that you do and all the stress that comes with it.

I'm sorry you had to get use to sleeping with just the fan because the air cond always make me sick.

I'm sorry you had to buy me badminton shoes, running shoes and golf shoes but I always refuse to make full use of them. I know you just want me to exercise.

I'm sorry I always seem to forget where I put my house keys and other things.

I'm sorry if I've hurt you with my actions or uttered words. Intentionally or unintentionally.

For everything else that I forgot to mention, I'm sorry.
Thank you for loving me this much and bear with all my imperfections.

Selamat hari raya. Maaf zahir dan batin :) Cheers to our first aidilfitri and to many more to come.
I love you to bits.

Kisses,
Your wife.
